People in Melbourne love the shitty, cold, loneliness of winter. They can sit around wearing black jeans, smoke inside, listen to the Birthday Party and complain. It’s just what you do. But everything changes as soon as Spring rears her beautiful head. We make cut-offs out of our jeans, smoke outside and complain about how many awesome bands are coming out for all these festivals. We are real dicks.

The beginning of the festival avalanche is Parklife. This year they’ve got a pretty banging line up. If names like The Presets, The Tame Impala, The Passion Pit, The Nero or The Robyn make you feel like there is dencorub in your boxers, then you got to get down to Sidney Myer Music Bowl on the 6th of Oct and lose your shit to these acts and many more.
