Friday 11 March marks the day that SPLIT SECONDS unveil their debut self-titled EP.

It’s been over 12 months since songwriter and lead vocalist Sean Pollard began writing the songs that would

become the band’s first release. Since then Split Seconds have been rewarded with national airplay; had jjj’s Richard Kingsmill

tweet enthusiastically after seeing their performance at Perth’s One Movement; played Big Day Outand Laneway;

secured supports for Sufjan Stevens and Tim Minchin; and generally made all the right moves in the lead up to release date.

Not bad for a band that is yet to play a gig outside of their home state of Western Australia!

Fast forward to Saturday 12 March and Split Seconds will march to the sound of their own drum when they launch their EP

at Perth’s Amplifier Bar with support provided by handsome Andy Bull (NSW), beautiful

Tash Parker (WA) and local Perth indie-folk wholesomeness provided by Goodnight Tiger (WA).

With an East Coast tour currently on the drawing board for later this year Split Seconds local star continues to shine

with involvement in two WA government initiatives. The Music Feedback campaign andHead2Head magazine have been

set up by The Western Australian Mental Health Commission to help raise awareness of mental health.

Sean Pollard will feature in an interview for Head2Head magazine and Split Seconds will appear on the upcoming Music Feedback CD/DVD

– see www.musicfeedback.com.au for further details.

Now just over one year old, and with more to celebrate that just their first anniversary, Split Seconds

will join in the spirit of giving and will be offering fans the lure of free stuff! Yes, FREE STUFF!!

Pre-order a hard copy of Split Seconds EP via the band’s Bandcamp site –www.splitseconds.bandcamp.com – and

receive the ‘Property Line’ outtake originally recorded for the EP…yep, you guessed it, for FREE!
