Adalita – Hot Air EP Out Now!

Adalita creates a distorted and richly intimate musical portrait. The Hot Air EP is the first taste of the Magic Dirt front woman’s debut solo album. Her album is due for release early 2011 and is set to build on an already illustrious career and cement her as one of Australia’s most important songwriters.
Hot Air was the first song I wrote for the solo album. It really just came out of the blue. I had a loop going of two simple guitar chords and then laid down a melodic refrain over the top. The words came from a poem I wrote a long time ago. I like the wistful nature of this song”.
“With a stack of  bonus tracks, that were recorded in the last twelve months including:  Fur Seal after Adalita heardabout the 2006 mass shooting of forty rare fur seals on Kanowna Island, Victoria. Two men, suspected of the crime, were arrested but then released without charges pending further investigation.
Wrapped Up a Eddy Current Suppression Ring song.
Taxi Club a song I co-written with  band member Raul Sanchez of Magic Dirt.
