Roger Sanchez

Release Yourself 10th Anniversary National Australian Tour

House fans unite! The legendary doyen of Big Room House, Roger Sanchez, is on his way to thrown down no less than seven epic club sets across Australia in January 2011 that are guaranteed to have the nation rocking all night long …

Already locked in to headline the mammoth Hot Barbecue festival in the sunny seaside surrounds of the stunning Point Nepean in Portsea, Victoria, on Saturday January 22, the ‘S Man’ (as he’s known and loved by diehard fans the world over) will give local House lovers a long overdue dose of his massive sounds and silky skills when he takes control of booths in some of the finest, most intimate clubs in Geelong, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Boasting the sort of superstar DJ status that many can only dream of, Roger Sanchez is a bonafide global House music phenomenon with few, if any, equals. Rising through the ranks of the coveted New York House scene in the early 1990s alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia and David Morales, his trademark thumping tunes and exquisite party-time track selection have seen him play the planet’s hottest clubs, biggest festival stages and most iconic residencies.

But Roger Sanchez is much more than just a DJ. The production genius behind floor-filling big room anthems like “First Contact”, “Another Chance”, “Turn On The Music” and the new smash hit “2Gether”, ‘the S Man’ also runs his own label, Stealth Records, and hosts his own top-ranking international radio show ‘Release Yourself’.

A veteran of an infamous decade-long residency in Ibiza that has seen him host sell-out ‘Release Yourself’ nights at the likes of Privelege, El Divino, Pacha and Amnesia, Roger Sanchez has built the brand into one of the planet’s hottest dance properties – boasting its very own label, global podcast, and merchandise.

Heading our way hot on the heels of his latest and greatest compilation “10 Years of Release Yourself” – a special anniversary edition featuring floor fillers from the likes of Rene Amesz, Baggi Begovic and the man himself – the timing of the ‘S Man’s’ return couldn’t be any sweeter.

Summer vibes, sunny days, and seven sultry nights with Roger Sanchez … this will be a summer to remember, House lovers. Get ready to RELEASE YOURSELVES!!!!!

NEON INDIAN (USA), CASIOKIDS (NORWAY) & STRANGE TALK (MELB)
“Overall, Psychic Chasms is something like a dream collaboration between the Tough Alliance and Atlas Sound.” – Pitchfork (8.6/10 & #14 Album of the Year, 2009)
Neon Indian, aka Alan Palomo, returns to Australia over New Years bringing back his brand of electronic dream pop. The maestro will appear in Melbourne at Revolver Wednesday 29th December for a co-headline show with Norway’s Casiokids.
Old analogue and trashy keyboards, pop melodies and a digital & shadow puppet theatre make up the Norwegian electro-troupe that is Casiokids. The band sprung out of an idea of making electronic music more visual, but has developed further into being a collective of theatre blended with pop melodies often sung in their native language and influenced by afro-beat, techno and out-and-out pop. Neon Indian & Casiokids together with support from Strange Talk.
