With a new album set for release early next year, UK trio Friendly Fires will be gracing Australian shores next February, performing at Good Vibrations across the country.

World renowned for their energetic live performances, the St Alban’s outfit are sure to get you dancing. The band’s self titled debut album is filled with dance-floor friendly tracks, amidst beautiful washes of lush harmonies and understated lo-fi pop music.

Ed Macfarlane (vocals, synths, bass), Edd Gibson (guitar), and Jack Savage (drums) have experienced a meteoric rise since forming  at age 14.  Friendly Fires, released back in 2008, was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize, was nominated NME’s ‘Best Dancefloor Filler’ and was a triple j feature album here in Australia. From then on the only way was up – Friendly Fires went gold in the UK, the band went on to play a string of  sold-out UK tours and perform at the Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, and Coachella Festivals.
