BLOCKPROJECTS presents JEREMY KIBEL & RHYS LEE

The Collaborative work of Jeremy Kibel and Rhys Lee will be the first exhibition at the new BLOCKPROJECTS 79 Stephenson Street, Richmond.

Kibel completed his apprenticeship under two of Australia’s leading contemporary artists Jenny Watson and Robert Jacks. His past works have largely been of the Australian landscape defined by strong lines and colors which appear more like a graphic novel.

Melbourne based trained graphic designer Lee paints largely with oils and acrylics; bright, odd and visually intense, but yet still rounded and soft behind his sometimes grotesque figures.  With a large list of  exhibitions and magazine features including Black & White Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Belle Magazine and the prestigious Australian Art Collector Magazine, the collaboration of these two artists should prove to be rather interesting.

Opening Reception Friday 3rd September 6-8pm

Exhibition closes 30th September 2010.
