Cherry Vinyl on Sundays

Do you remember the time before you pressed play?

Do you remember the time your music came on two sides?

Do you remember the time when bass was warm and fuzzy?

Do you remember the time when music was only 7 or 12” wide?

Do you remember the time of cover art?

Do you remember the time when music crackled?

Do you remember the time when music cost money?

Do you remember the time of the cue and stylus?

Do you remember the time bringing your music purchases home meant backache rather than RSI?

Do you remember the time of dust in your grooves?

You don’t? ! Oh well, must have been before your time..…

Anyway, there was a time not so long ago when music lovers maxed the wax rather than prodded the

ipod to get their sonic highs.

So at Cherry Bar on a Sunday nights we bring back to the old school: Music on vinyl.

All Night. That’s right. No CD’s, no laptops, and definitely no ipods!

We have gone back to the wax!

Resident DJ’s The Vinyl Whores and Double A encourage anyone and everyone to dust off their rock and

roll gems, bring them down to Cherry Bar, and give them a well‐deserved spin in front of an

appreciative crowd, which has included the likes of The Eagles of Death Metal, Murray the “Red Wiggle”

The Flamingo Crash kids, The Galvatrons & Children Collide.

For their hour we can’t promise you that the DJ’s are going to be great, (we don’t mind) but one thing we can promise, is they’ll be spinning vinyl….
