Christopher James Karyotakis also known as Kaz James born and bread in Melbourne in 1982,  kick started his Dj’ing career at One Love, a popular Melbourne nightclub that has also helped launch the careers of Grant Smillie and Dirty South. Kaz James spread his wings to travel the world and perform sets in other countries, “kind of like a backpacking DJ.” 

Formally part of the group Body Rockers who broke through on the international stage in 2005  with the smash-hit single ‘I Like The Way You Move’ reaching #3 on the UK Singles Chart, with increasing popularity around the globe.

Since splitting with his Bodyrockers partner  Dylan Burns, Kaz is focusing on his own solo work. Kaz James released his first solo album, ‘if they knew’ in 2008. 

In early 2009 Kaz James did a colaboration with Macy Gray “Can’t Hold Back”.  This song became James’ first solo song to reach the Top 50 on the Australian pop charts, peaking at #42.
